(1) Number of accidents resulting in lost time of one day or more within a twelve month period, per million hours worked.
These data are consolidated for all Group companies.
Harmonization of methodologies for calculating the number of hours worked continued in 2007. Methodological differences observed had a significant impact on the 2006 subcontractor frequency, which was adjusted and is now 5.7 instead of 4.4.
For non-mobile personnel, accidents occurring during the home-workplace commute are not included in this indicator. However, they are included for medical sales representatives, in accordance with the reporting rules defined by the Group.
In the case of additional accidents not yet recorded at the closure of the financial year, or if changes in the qualification of accidents are observed after the financial year has ended, the frequency rate is corrected afterwards.

(2) Data adjusted in 2007.
