Safety in the workplace - Policy

Sanofi-aventis has set up management systems to oversee safety and health in the workplace and to protect the environment, adapted to each of its functions.  

These systems are subject to regular review by measuring them against results, defining progress goals, implementing improvement plans (called PASS), and by organizing the necessary controls. This approach is based on information, learning from experience, dialogue and training.

In view of the increase in lost-time occupational injuries involving subcontractors (among other things, in connection with the number of construction projects in progress at our sites), specific audits were conducted and resulted in the development of a subcontractor safety program. This program was implemented at the Group's vaccine sites and research centers. 

The general purpose of feedback is to improve Group HSE performance by taking advantage of and sharing knowledge acquired through the analysis of events and the sharing of the exchange of experience.
