Subcontractors and suppliers – The situation today

Issues concerning supplier safety, health and the environment have undergone a steady increase in recent years. As a result, the number of actions implemented by industry has also risen considerably.  

Working in the pharmaceutical industry, several thousand suppliers and subcontractors are entrusted with manufacturing chemical substances that will be used as raw materials or synthesis intermediates. Most companies have set up programs to ensure that these external partners are able to carry out their work in strict compliance with rules concerning safety and environmental protection.
