Prevention and management of major occupational risks - Policy

Sanofi-aventis has set up management systems to oversee safety and health in the workplace and to protect the environment, adapted to each of its functions.  

These systems are subject to regular review by measuring them against results, defining progress goals, implementing improvement plans (called PASS), and by organizing the necessary controls. This approach is based on information, learning from experience, dialogue and training. 

Many product and process transfers are being organized between sites. Technical data exchange and transfer protocol development have strengthened teamwork and contributed to building a solid H.S.E network between sites, functions, process safety laboratories and the Corporate H.S.E Department. Priorities have been defined: detailed assessments of pilot plant facilities, learning experience reports and the H.S.E intranet.
