Participating in local economic development is one of sanofi-aventis' responsibilities  

The Group believes that participating in the economic development of areas where it operates is one of sanofi-aventis' responsibilities, whether by supporting employee projects through the business start-up unit, or through our subsidiary Sopran (Society for the Promotion of New Activities). Among other activities, Sopran provides support to Group sites facing with major restructuring. 

In addition, sanofi-aventis wants to contribute to the impact of innovation and research around the globe. With this in mind, the Group supports various initiatives in the healthcare field and shares its experience through competitive clusters.
